UDC Receives Esri Award for Innovation

UDC receives 2026 innovation award

UDC received the Esri Partner Network Award for Innovation at the 2026 Esri Partner Conference, held on 8–9 March in Palm Springs, California. Esri, a global leader in location intelligence, works with a network of more than 3,000 partners worldwide. The awards recognise partners that have demonstrated innovative approaches to solving complex business challenges using Esri’s ArcGIS technology, while advancing the use of geographic information systems (GIS).

At this year’s conference, UDC was recognised for combining emerging cloud technologies with ArcGIS to deliver an innovative solution for Arizona Public Service (APS). UDC supported APS in evaluating ArcGIS Utility Network editing applications and third-party data management tools within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment. This initiative approach enabled the utility to assess solutions and capabilities before full implementation, helping to prepare for the migration of its electric network to the ArcGIS Utility Network model.

“Receiving this Esri Partner Network Award is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the strong collaboration between UDC, APS and our partners at Esri. Leveraging emerging cloud technologies with ArcGIS allowed us to help APS accelerate its Utility Network journey in a meaningful, future-focused way. We’re proud to contribute to solutions that advance the utility industry and demonstrate the real impact of modern geospatial architecture.”

William Craft, UDC CTO

This marks the fifth time UDC has been recognised by Esri. Previous awards have acknowledged the company’s achievements in systems integration, data analytics, comprehensive GIS and the development and implementation of its HEIDE tool to support ArcGIS Utility Network migration.
